Why Resistance to Health Care Reform ?
A big driver is the perception that it will undermine Medicare, and in fact, the bill does reduce Medicare reimbursements as a way to 'cut costs'. There is likely a big shift against Obama in the plus 55-age group, the people who actually vote. No doubt, organs like the UK Guardian will regard this shift as 'old people who are racist', but it has nothing to do with that. It will be interesting to look at exit polls from the Senate special election.
